Preview: Yves Larock – WE / Dynamite Sound System [Millia Records]
Yves Larock has been working quite hard in the early stages of 2012 and is now back with a exclusive EP. Relying on a simple but effective hook and the vocals of Izrah, ‘Dynamite Sound System’ sees Yves explore dark electronic tones underpinning roaring synths crescendos and crashing percussion. Panning fluttering rhythms of sound over structured layers of an identical riff, ‘We’ showcases Yves’ masterful craftsmanship of the three dimensional composition of electronica. Building with each phrase along a multitude of sonic levels, the track works its way towards a sumptuous breakdown, the addition of thundering basslines giving it epic arena proportions. Yves Larock’s tracks ‘We & Dynamite Sound System’ will be released on Millia Records throughout the world and as well on Beatport on 24 February 2012, so stay tuned!
Preview: Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello & Alesso – Eclipse (Why Am I Doing This?)
With an exclusive preview held on Refune‘s very first podcast ‘Refune Radio #001′, Sebastian Ingrosso and Refune Records was again excited to show the world another massive track hailing out of three Swedish producers. The swedes were able to blending the sounds of ‘Acid House’, a melodic breakdowns and then throwing you back into an impressive fuelling drop. The result of Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Alesso coming together was a new track entitled ‘Eclipse (Why Am I Doing This)‘. With the enormous success of their track ‘Calling‘, Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso have been leaking word via Twitter and Facebook that they have been working on vocals for their first track collaboration. Preview: Otto Knows – Million Voices [Refune]
This time it is the official preview! We all have been waiting for official news and Million Voices from Otto Knows which he showcased during his guestmix on Avicii Podcast. Otto Knows is a great producer, also very good friend of Avicii, each of his production as a specific sensitivity that defines is music from any other producer.
Million Voices is a beautiful track, and will be released on January 30th 2012 on Refune, Sebastian Ingrosso’s imprint.
2012 has to be the year of Otto Knows.

Vermont producer; Pierce Fulton has seen a dramatic change in his career since his track “Pardon My French“, playing during the yacht week in Croatia, singing with one of the biggest management agency which has client such as Tiesto, Atrack and Dada Life
The talented producer is coming back with a track called “Who Wants Spaghetti“, which I would qualify of melodic electro house! pierce definitely has taken a step forward in his career and seemed to have find his specific sound. And with his brother by his side to manage him, we can only predict a bright future for him.
Who wants Spaghetti will be released on Cr2 Records on February 13 2012.

News: Simon Cowell launching X Factor for Djs
It has been confirmed, Simon Cowell the CEO of SYCO – a production company responsible for TV show X Factor, and also music publishing company responsible for Leona Lewis “Collide” controversy – has announced today that he will be launching soon a new talent show to find the world’s best DJs. The show will be co-produced with Overbrook, production company owned by Will Smith (yes the same Hollywood star who saved the workd about 30 times in movies).
“DJ’s are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show” said Mr Cowell in a statement. They should announce their broadcast partners for the US and UK market very soon.
In the meantime, I am trying to understand how could this work on TV; as there is a difference between a DJ and a producer. Most electronic artists are recognized and gain fame thanks to their production (try to find one EDM artist who tours around the world with no production?), if we look at the way X Factor currently works, does that mean DJs would do a performance of a few minutes in front of judges which will decide if they move on to the next round?Who will be the Judges?
This brings a lot of question and clearly the term DJ has become something very bankable for the entertainment industry. I am just very interested to see the format and how they are going to judge the DJs based on their performance and considering the music background they are coming from.
