Preview: Chris Lake & Lazy Rich – Stand Alone
As it may seem to be news to some followers, Chris Lake has been one of the busier men in the EDM world lately. With his ever growing label Rising Music, Chris Lake has managed to release beautiful tracks such as the smashing hit and former “New Essential Tune” on Pete Tongs BBC Radio One show ‘Sun Down‘. This time the English bloke is back with a new collaboration with originally born UK man Lazy Rich, but who now resides in Vancouver, Canada. The track is a great mix between the ever so popular electro sound that is streaming through the EDM world at moment, but seems to hold the original “House” sound that Chris Lake is famous for. Check it out and stay tune for its release.

As per his usual, every week Pete Tong unveils his new Essential Selection. This one in particular contains some impressive new tracks, from Swedish House Mafia‘s new Greyhound to David Guetta & Nicky Romero’s Metropolis. Here it is and the tracklist is after the break.
Release: Swedish House Mafia – Greyhound [EMI]
The yearly Swedish anthemic hit is finally out. After having been unveiled during their Madison Square Garden Show and then later on their takeover of Pete Tong’s Essential Mix, Greyhound is now released on EMI. This mastered and correctly edited version includes a truly addicting beat, and showcases one of the most overused synths out there, the one I call the wawa synths. While nothing too revolutionary, as can probably be expected, this track will be one of the most played throughout the Miami Music Week. Anyway here’s the track, enjoy:

More news from the upcoming producer Nicky Romero, as Se7en, his new track with Cr2 was highlighted on Pete Tong’s Essential Mix as the second contender for Essential New Tune. As much as last year was Alesso’s, 2012 seems to be Nicky’s. After his release of Generation 303 and signing with David Guetta. He now unveils another two bangers, Metropolis and Se7en. Both including strident high electro synths. This sound is now unmistakable as Nicky paves his way to stardom.
