DJ Mixes: AVICII @ Ultra Music Festival 2012 (Tracklist + Review)

Besides all the controversy around Madonna “promoting” the use of drugs to hundred of thousand of fans, AVICII set during Ultra Music Festival was brilliant. Besides the obvious selection of some of his biggest hit, I really enjoyed the introduction of his remix of “Girl Gone Wild” for the popstar, followed right after by a very very awesome remix of Lenny Kravitz “Superlove”; please note I see a LOT of summer potential for this remix. We just need to figure out who was the author, perhaps AVICII, but this hasn’t been confirmed…

Also to noticed his number 10 track in our tracklist which seems to be a production from Avicii as well called “All you need is Love“. I guess more info very soon

For the rest of the set nothing out of the ordinary, he mashed up a lot of his big hits with some other really great tracks, but overall a great performance I think.

Swedish House Mafia Live set @ Madison Square Garden, NYC 16-12-2011

The first electronic act to headline and at the same time; sell out the legendary Madison Square Garden, home of the Knicks and now we can all say home of the Swedish House Mafia. The trhee Swedes; Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell put up an impressive performance comparable to a Kiss concert in terms of Pyrotechnics.

For the ones that didn’t have the chance to either grab tickets or not living in New York City, the show was broadcasted live in HD on Youtube and we all enjoyed a very top notch set featuring some of the biggest tracks of the moment such as their recent release “Antidote” featuring Knife Party but also Michael Calfan “Resurrection“, David Guetta & Afrojack – Lunar, but also closing their set with some both of their Laidback Luke collaborative anthems; “Show Me Love” and “Leave the World Behind You”.

Tomorrowland Festival is considered by many as the best outdoor festival in Europe, and probably one of the best in the world. This year again the festival sold out months before its starts date, gathering approximately 130,000 electronic music fans into this attraction park.
